Diana Ross

Best known as the the lead singer of the popular 1960s singing group The Supremes. Diana Ross wasn’t picked to become the group’s lead singer until Motown honcho Berry Gordy decided that the time was exactly right, and from then on he described the group as “Diana Ross and the Supremes.” From 1965 to 1969 the group had a string of #1 records. Over the years Donna has proven herself to be a consummate artist and songwriter – she has written or co-written many of her hits, and is currently writing a musical based on her life story. Most recently she has done a benefit performance for GMHC at Carnegie Hall that raised over $400,000 for that organization. She also inked a multi-album deal with Epic Records and her first release for her new label was a live CD recorded at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. This...

In the 1960s, his stand-up act was a coast-to-coast sensation, spawning a string of hilarious, best-selling comedy albums, which went on to win eight Gold Records, five Platinum records and five Grammy Awards. His role on TV’s I Spy made him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series, breaking television’s racial barrier and winning three Emmy Awards. In the 1980s, he again rocked the television world with the The Cosby Show, a gentle, whimsical and hugely successful series that single-handedly revived the...
